I have a midterm tomorrow that I haven't opened the textbook for -- oh fuck whatever I'll wing it with wikipedia and random previous knowledge --

HAHAHA I think I'd be like a NERVOUS WRECK if I weren't just like MANIC all the time AAAAAAAAAA but I don't... really even feel bad. Or I do, kinda like man I should be studying, the textbook's right there, I haven't even looked up what's ON the test -- but I don't do it, because I'm also like all "LOL SCREW IT I CAN WING IT AND BE FINE BAHAHA" or something at the same time and it's a really really weird feeling like

"OH WELL LOL IF I FAIL I FAIL but i doubt i will but maybe i will and it'll screw my final grade but WHATEVER LOL man i should study but aaaaaaaaaaaa screw it GOING IN BLIND fuck yeah bring it on HAHAHA oh god what am I doing i havent even gone to this class since the first week LOLOL OH WELL whoo Allie's playing WoW with us -- "

Am I worried? Do I care? I must, or I wouldn't be posting this, right? (NERVOUS TENSION NERVOUS TENSION ITS KINDA HARD TO SIT STILL) But then why aren't I doing anything? haha that's how I am too. In highschool I was just like.. /doesnt study or pay attention ever... fills in random answers on scantron tests... fails...

I've perfected my technique though, so that I can not study and still pass.

You should like... set aside 15 minutes out of every hour to flip through the textbook and just get a feel for things?

Lol I actually DID get kicked out of college... two weeks before my freshman semester they were like k hold up... we change our minds you're not invited anymore. :D IF WORST COMES TO WORST you can just spend the entire test period spelling out every single word possible on the scantron with the letters A, B, C, D, and E. It will prepare you for continuing to pwn everyone on that facebook word game. BUT YA SERIOUSLY I doubt I'll ever care either... I would rather live in the wilderness like a hermit eating scorpions than be an academickins.

WELL basically, until the last semester of my senior year I was at the top of my class, and then in that last semester I plummeted into the toilet... and was usually too high to do things like comprehending my surroundings. And then Hamilton College, who had accepted me early in February, got my final transcript and it was basically like

CLASS 1: E
CLASS 2: E
CLASS 3: D
CLASS 4: E-
CLASS 5: A.. JK, E
TEACHER'S NOTE: DAT GIRL... BAD GIRL >:( BEWAAAARE

And so they were like.. Dear Meredith Phelan, git out.

And I was like fff okai.. /goes to community college.. doesnt really care

akjwehakwje it sounds depressing but I'm quite glad it happened. Community college is what's best for me at this point. And everyone felt really bad for me and sent me presents even tho I was like guys im aiite... and they were like NO YOURE NOT :'( /GIVES YOU JEWELERY

I mean aethgket HAHAH I was near the top of my class too, graduated HS with like a 4.2, went to boston randomly, went WHAT THE FUCK IS THE POINT OF THIS, transferred colleges to rutgers, then almost failed out of STATE college cause I was like naaaaaaaah class is too far to go to /gets 3 F's and an A for the class I actually liked HAHAHHA then the college was all WHAT IS THIS your old record is like AAAA B AAA BB and then SUDDENLY 3 Fs and then an A WTF WTF PROBATION NOWWWWWWW and i was like LOL etghejktgh and I DONT KNOW I just stopped caring at some point and I'm like WHATEVER AS LONG AS I GET C'S

seriously wtf you don't learn anything in undergrad anyway, the degree is basically "i put in the effort to show up for tests" and not anything else if you don't plan on going to grad school which I DON'T and auuugh it's such a waste of time (but I guess people like WONT BELIEVE IM SMART ENOUGHF OR JOBS WITHOUT A PIECE OF PAPER THAT SAYS SO or something it's auuuugh really annoying wtf)

Well, I got high instead of studying because I stopped caring about studying for classes whose content I wasn't even interested in it just felt like a WASTE OF TIME AND ENERGY. A lot of people think it's the other way around, that you stop caring AFTER picking up the habit, but that's not how it was for me at least.

But yeah I feel the same way, it's like... idk why devote so much time and energy to this stuff that doesn't really mean anything and that I don't give a shit about? I'd rather take a different path to doing something that's meaningful to me. HOPEFULLY T?HAT'S POSSBILE.. I tell myself it is.

WE CAN DO IT CASE we'll get C's and then be amazing at stuff we care about. Fuck da haters.

I totally did that with every class though, Calc was just the only one where it was like AHHH GOING TO FAIL or uh guess not. Like it must have been the curve that saved me but still, jesus christ the rest of the class must have like ATE THEIR TESTS or something for the curve to be that extreme.

Ahaha, good luck. I hope it's an easy bullshitty class. It's probably better to not worry too much about it at this point, anyway.

I became jaded and apathetic waaay earlier than everyone else and went from straight-A to failing /photography/ after my freshman year in high school. HOW DID I EVEN DO THAT. but in college i did ok, mostly. EASY BULLSHITY MAJOR HELPED A LOT.

NOW I MISS THOSE. HARD SCIENCESUUAAAA

i do the exact same thing. like, to a T. i have a midterm tomorrow (OH TECHNICALLY TODAY, TIME-WISE) on a ton of stuff we've done in my world myths class (which has all the potential to be interesting but isn't. at all) aaaaaand we're allowed to have an entire page front-and-back full of notes for it and i've kind of slept all day and then watched old SVU reruns and decided i'd do it on the train on my way to class. maybe. probably not. SEE. :C

like i feel like i should feel guilty but i totally pass everything when i don't try so unless it's interesting to me i don't try. so.
